Kovalam
One of the internationally renowned beach in Trivandrum District. The
calm sea and sandy shore is now one of the most favourite sought beach
for both foreigners and native.
Kumarakom
A lush green village on the shore of Vembanadu lake. Distance from th
nearest town, Kottayam is only 16 kms. This tiny hamlet is famous for
inland backwaters flooded
with water lilres and fleet of ducks, wide paddy fields and above all
a constant destination for migratory birds like, Siberian stork, herons,
etc. This place is a paradise for ornithologists also.
Thekkady
One of the
finest wild life reserve in India. A splendid hilly area with tea plantations
and spices. Boating on the periyar lake will be a unique experience to
spot wild life like herds of elephants, bisons, deers etc. at close quarters.
Munnar
Munnar (means three rivers), the name is derived from the coinage of three
rivers namely Nallathani, Kundala and Muthirappuzha. The hill station
is 5000 ft above sea level. An excellent place for trekki ng
and to enjoy the beauty of Teaplantations. A very exciting feature of
this place is the flowering of Neelakurinji, which blossoms only once
in 12 years. For wildlife, Rajamala the natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr(mountain
goat) is only 15 kms away from munnar.
Vythiri
The gateway to Kerala's spice garden, wayanad. Winding ghat roads, misty
hills, gurgling brooks and spicy
winds will be an exhilarating for the travellers. Waynad is an excellent
and exotic place to enjoy the beauty of nature, waterfalls, wildlife,
teaplantations, historic monuments and aboveall one of the famous place
for spices like pepper cardamom cinamon etc.
